"We are excited to be able to host the USA South Cross Country Championships on the NC Wesleyan campus," said head coach Marshall Leonard.  "It will give us a chance to show off our campus and introduce our team and sport to the community."

"We have a chance to do well at this meet and have multiple All-Conference runners for the 1st time in the program's history," continued Leonard. "This is the best part of the season for the runners and coaches. They are all in peak form and ready to perform on the largest stages."

NC Wesleyan hosted a USA South Preview event back on Sept. 21 with the course taking place on the on-campus walking trail with great success as numerous teams mentioned how much they enjoyed the well-rounded course. Wesleyan hosted 10 men's teams and 8 women's teams that day while the upcoming Championships will be hosting 13 men's teams and 18  women's teams.

There will also be a banquet for the cross country teams the night before, Friday, Nov. 1 at the Rocky Mount Mills. Please contact head coach Marshall Leonard for more information at and at 252-955-4386.
