Jeremy Johnson enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Battling Bishops Baseball program after joining NCWC in the summer of 2018. He will serve as the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator while at NCWC.
Johnson, who enjoyed a solid four-year letter-winning career at High Point University (NC), comes to Wesleyan after a one-year stint as assistant coach at local Rocky Mount High School, his alma mater.
While at RMHS, Johnson coached 1st base and provided on-field instruction with regards to pitching, hitting, and defensive philosophies and assisted in day-to-day operations including throwing BP, lineup construction and field maintenance.
Johnson also oversaw the Panther Baseball Club in High Point during the summer of 2016. He coached the 13-and-under travel team. Johnson was also a Camp Instructor at C3 Baseball Camps in High Point.
While as a player at RMHS, Johnson was a two-time MVP and an all-Area Pitcher of the Year.
Johnson received his B.A. in Communication with a focus in Journalism from High Point graduating in 2017. He also minored in Sport Management as well. Jeremy was also named a Millis Scholar Athlete from 2013-2017.
