ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan College athletics have rescheduled some games and shuffled around others for this weekend while some sports have altogether canceled.
The Baseball team will now host conference foe LaGrange College (Ga.) in one doubleheader to be played on Monday.
They have canceled their 1:00 game on Sunday due to rain and field conditions while Monday's doubleheader is still set to begin at 11:00 AM, but that time is also subject to change based on weather.
The team will still host Ferrum College (Va.) on Tuesday at 2 PM as scheduled. The canceled game Sunday will not be made up.
The Wesleyan Softball team has unfortunately been forced to cancel their weekend games in Cary and Rocky Mount as part of the Triangle Classic due to persistent rain and field conditions. Those four weekend games will not be made up.
However, head coach John Brackett and Va. Wesleyan have rescheduled their postponed games from Feb. 19 to be made up as a doubleheader on April 3 at 3 PM in Rocky Mount.
Softball will make their season debuts at home on Wednesday at 2 and 4 PM vs. Guilford College.
The Lady Bishops lacrosse team have also rescheduled their postponed game with Barton to next Thursday, Feb. 28 at 4 PM here in Rocky Mount while they will make their home debut on Tuesday at 4 PM vs. Hanover College.
The men's tennis team has moved their neutral site match with West Va. Wesleyan to a home match here on Sunday set to begin around 4:30 PM while they will now play at Chowan University on March 26 at 2 PM. They have also moved their split-squad match with USC-Sumter to a doubleheader on March 16 set to begin at Noon in Sumter, S.C.
The women's team has also moved their Chowan match to March 26 as well.
